Entity logic comes first
If the IFC entity assignment is wrong, every downstream property and quantity discussion starts on weak ground. That is why IFCmap matters first. It establishes what the receiving system is supposed to understand the element to be.

Property sets should not repair bad classification
Property sets are often treated as a rescue layer. They are not. Pset_map is most useful when the entity assignment already makes sense and the question is whether the expected standard properties are present and attached consistently.

Quantities need the same discipline
Qto_map is the same logic applied to quantity information. If the exchange depends on quantities, they should be prepared and checked as part of the workflow, not assumed to emerge correctly at export time.

Why the sequence matters
The benefit is not elegance. It is risk reduction. A team that sequences entity, property, and quantity preparation has fewer surprises at handover and a cleaner basis for model QA.
